Budding Engineers Get Creative at Robotic Workshop!

As part of our Festival of Creativity Week, first-year students recently had an exciting opportunity to dive into the world of robotics and electronics at a hands-on Robotics Workshop. The workshop was delivered by Mary Immaculate College and led by the enthusiastic team of Eleanor Walsh and Kieran Dunne, whose guidance and passion made the day both educational and fun.

Students were introduced to the fundamentals of circuits and electronics before putting their new knowledge to the test by building their very own Scribble Bots—creative little robots that use motors and markers to draw as they move. The atmosphere was full of curiosity and creativity as students explored, experimented, and proudly showed off their colorful robotic creations.

A huge thank you to Eleanor and Kieran for providing such a valuable experience. The workshop not only introduced important STEM concepts in a hands-on way, but also helped inspire the next generation of engineers and inventors.

We can’t wait to see what our young makers create next!
